Every event is unique, and the number and type of medical cover required may be influenced by a wide range of factors, which include:
- nature of the event
- temperature and humidity
- duration of the event
- numbers of people attending
- age profile and whether there are vulnerable groups
- activities on site

- camping
It is the event organisers' responsibility to provide detailed & accurate information to the medical provider. The medical provider will then produce a medical risk assessment plan and required medical cover based on information received. If you are not sure, it will require the medical representative to conduct an on-site face-to-face meeting and assessment.

- Expected attendance: Peak crowd numbers and total daily throughput.
- Audience demographics: Age ranges and known behavioral risks (e.g., alcohol consumption).
- Venue layout: Clear access routes, egress points, and tricky terrain.
- Activity nature: High-risk sports, pyrotechnics, or multi-day camping.

In the UK, event safety is regulated by specific industry standards and frameworks. Depending on your event type, your medical provider and local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) will expect you to follow one of the primary national guides
